Pensacola Beach Dog Rules

Dogs love Pensacola Beach too! Animal control officers are on patrol, so obey these rules to stay out of the doghouse.

Dogs are welcomed at designated dog beaches only, located at lots 21E and 28B. All other beaches and parks on the island are off limits, including Casino Beach.

(All Gulf beaches and Sound beaches are public.)

If a dog or pet is found left unattended in a vehicle, the owner may face criminal charges.

Dogs must be on leash at all times.

Owners must pick up and properly dispose of dog waste.

(Escambia County, Florida Ordinances Chapter 10, Article 1)

The State of Florida requires a current rabies tag be visible on all dogs at the dog beach.

For any animal welfare issues,
please call Escambia County Animal Control at (850) 595-0097
